This past Friday we went to the River Dogs baseball game . . . our friends the Lees were there too! It was great because they have a little boy about Lily's age so we had a blast watching them get all excited together about the baseball game.
This was one of the random games they played were a girl had to throw a hot dog to another kid and he had to catch it in a bun . . . so many funny things happened during the game. At the end of the game the opposing team's coach got really mad about a call that was made and was reenacting the play and trying the get the call reversed, finally the umpire basically backed the coach off the field where the coach proceeded to throw a chair and a baseball bat onto the field before going to the locker room! Crazy, but I guess they needed to get a little bit more excitement in the game.
The River Dogs mascot . . . Lily loved sitting next to him, she petted him, pulled his tail, and gave him hugs.
She even gave Anderson (the Lee's son) a hug . . . he wasn't too sure about that - back off until after the mission, right?.
The River Dog mascots put streamers all over the guy sitting next to us . . . pretty funny to see mascots trying to use the streamers (must have been a tough job with those big hands of theirs).
Lily pulling the mascot's tail.
On Saturday we spent most of the day (well about 3 hours) trying to fit in a couch and lamps that our friends the Langdon's gave us . . . turned out pretty well, we think. Lily loves the new couch, if you look carefully you can see a little bit of her blanket on the couch and that is Lily sleeping on the couch.
Although we had to move one of the living room chairs into our bedroom, but it's nice to have a chair in there now.
For Labor Day (Monday), we headed to Sullivan's Island beach with some friends (even our Bishop and his wonderful wife came and brought some really yummy food). It was a lot of fun . . . we thought we were only going to spend only an hour or so there, but we got there at about 11:00am and didn't leave until 3:00pm! So fun! Lily had a great time playing in the water and she even enjoyed some potato salad and BBQ ribs, pretty amazing! Thanks to everyone who came, it was a blast!

Bethany, it looks like your family is having so much fun these days! I am a huge fan of baseball games! I can't believe Lily is old enough to walk, talk and not just a tiny baby anymore, she is such a cutie!
