So . . . here is the rest of our December!! Crazy, but extremely fun!!
Our Lily turned 4 years old!! The years have flown by way too fast. We had a friend party earlier in the month:
Her Rapunzel cake (I didn't make it quite tall enough - needed another layer of cake - so, that's way there's a gold band around her waist).
Pinata
Her actual birthday . . . the family party!
Grammie made her a Rapunzel dress and Grandma made her a really neat purse.
The birthday visit to Chuck E Cheese.
Oh yeah! After her friend party earlier in the month we went to a Christmas Celebration put on by the city. Lily got her first ride on a horse and Maggie saw Santa for the first time.
Random pictures . . . Scott sportin' the blue steel getting ready for the Young Men/Young Women Stake Dance. And Lily playing with Maggie (she was singing "We wish you a Merry Maggie" (like we wish you a Merry Christmas, but with Maggie instead . . . silly girl).
Ward Christmas party!!! There was catered Mexican food, lots of singing, and of course the big man himself (Santa).
We went to an ice skating show as a family!! The girls did great and we had lots of fun . . . later on in the month we went skating as a family and Lily did so great and wanted to do her own skating show. We may be starting skating lessons in the summer :-)
Yes, that is Lily playing in her pool in December . . . December 23rd to be exact (it was 75 degrees or more that day). Then she played in the last of our leaves we had to rake up.
A cute picture of Maggie, working on her crawling . . .
toward the Christmas presents :-)
On Christmas Eve, after the girls went to bed, I finished sewing Lily's Cinderella dress . . . this was my first time sewing a dress from a pattern without my Mom standing there beside me (of course I had to call her a few times). But, I finished it just in time . . . except I need to take the hem up more.
CHRISTMAS DAY!!!
Maggie opening her first stocking (stocking wonderfully
made by Grandma. Thank you, it turned out beautiful!!).
Family pictures after church . . .
The photographer . . . one of my great friends Liz!! You're awesome!!
More present opening . . . paper eating and Lily stealing Maggie's toys :-)
Maggie's first taste of butternut squash!! And she's
finally sitting in her high chair!!
Happy New Year!!! Bring on 2012!!
Here are some cute pictures of our girls in their
matching dresses from Grammie. They wore them New Year's Day (the second picture was of Lily playing with Maggie, too cute!).
