And We're Back . . . .

Here I am posting again . . . Lots of new things have come and gone. These next couple of months are going to be full of lots of fun! The rest of this month Scott has his 27th Birthday (8/24) and we have our 3 year Anniversary (8/22) . . . so, we have a few parties coming up. Also, this weekend we get to go to the temple and then chaperon a tri-stake youth dance (need to find a babysitter for that still). In September, my parents (the Grahams) are coming to visit between the 18th and the 26th. They're going to come to Charleston first and then we are all going down to Disney World to use the great military discount they have going right now . . . it's also to celebrate my wonderful mother's birthday :-). Then we have October . . . full of Halloween joy. So, hopefully I'll have lots of great things to blog about.

Some of my recent projects include finishing Lily's scrapbook (well, until Halloween and her 2nd birthday) and making Lily some hair bows or "pretties" as we like to call them. Below is a picture of one of them . . . I made lots with different colors.

Last weekend we had a wonderful dinner/dance date that some friends put on and held at the church cultural hall. We taught them some Folk Dances - Salty Dog Rag and Cumberland Squares. We also tried our hand at remembering some Irish and Bhangra. Let's just say I overworked myself and had very sore calves. We also decided that every month we would have Folk Dance night at our house to keep up on our skills - we're excited, Lily loves doing Folk Dance parties with us :-)

Recently Lily has been able to get to sleep on her own during naps. This is her falling asleep on the couch . . . sometimes it's the floor and also her big girl bed in the guest bedroom/toy room, but at least she knows when she wants to take a nap. I love this because she looks so relaxed especially with her feet crossed (she was watching "The BFG" movie on YouTube - for some reason it puts her to sleep and calms her down).

Below is a picture of Lily's big girl room/toy room/guest room. I recently found the wicker bookshelf by stalking our neighbors and seeing what they put out by their trash cans . . . yup it was a dumpster find. It's was in good condition, all I had to do what dust it and clean off spiders.

It is missing some of the top ornaments, but it still works for holding toys and Lily's books.

Below is me trying to get Lily to do the actions to "Popcorn, Popping" song from Nursery and the "Smile" song . . . she did alright, but she has been known to do all the actions. Sorry about my singing voice, it's not very pretty in the morning :-)
