Yes, the month of May exploded . . .Enjoy!

We had a very, very eventful May. Okay. . . we pretty much have fun things going on all the time because we love to keep moving :-)

Anyway, to begin with . . . Mother's Day. I loved Mother's Day. It was such a peaceful day . . . everyone slept, while I made dinner (whole chicken made in the crock pot, stuffing, rolls, . . . all the good stuff) :-) I wouldn't of wanted it any other way. Serving my family is the best!

We've also had great times pulling couch cushions off and watching Maggie climb all around, waving at us and saying "hi" (which is now her official first word).

Not to mention climbing all over Dad - but this is a daily ritual when he gets home from work :-)

Lily had a great dance recital on May 19th. She was on with the music and was so stinkin' cute (besides being so tired)!! At the end when she saw us from the stage she made the biggest happy face ever!

We also had Lily's end of the year preschool picnic. We had a blast, none of the kids wanted to leave. Below is a picture of all of Lily's best friends from school and Maggie enjoying the swings.

Finally, we went on a family 2-night camping trip for the Memorial Day weekend. It was fun, but also . . . very tiring. After I got home from skating on Thursday evening, we headed to our campsite. We started setting up our tent and found out the tent poles were broken, so we had to drive back to town and pick up a tent pole repair kit. Then it was rough getting the girls to sleep, especially Maggie. Come Friday, we found that Lily got a horrible rash . . . so we went to the Dr. There we found out Lily probably had a slight infection and Maggie had ANOTHER ear infection (no wonder it took so long to get her to sleep). The rest of our camping trip went great, after we got the medication in the girls :-)

We had some friends join us on Friday and they brought a pack n' play, so our little kiddos could crawl around and not have to be held all the time.

Our site . . . we had such a great time with our friends. Thank you to the Torres family and Foster family for joining us!

The Fosters brought their boat, so Lily got to enjoy her first time tubing. She was scared at first, but then had a BLAST.

Lastly, Scott got promoted to full Lieutenant in the Navy. Lily and I got to put on his shoulder boards (for the "pinning" ceremony). Lily did a better job than me!! It was so fun!

 

Oh yeah!! Just this last weekend,  I attended a figure skating clinic with 2006 Olympic Ice Dance Silver Medalist Tanith Belbin. She was awesome, and now I am sore . . . but it was worth it. I learned so much in just a few hours. Tanith was a very fun and kind teacher. Professional athletes are truly amazing people for dedicating themselves to a sport they love.

So, that was our month of May and the beginning of  June. Now, we are really starting to get down to business with getting ready to move to Washington (in August). I will finish up with teaching dance this month and Scott will finish teaching his LAST class too!! Four years went by so fast! But, we're excited for what the future holds.
