Third Time is a Charm

I've been trying to post these pictures for weeks, but blogger was being dumb. So, here they are . . . yes, we're still busy but a good busy. And to quote Dash from the Incredibles, "I love our family" :-)

January went by like a flash . . . full of our normal day to day stuff (church callings, dance, skating, work, etc) and February is almost done too.

But this is what we've been up to:

Scott has been working on kayaks with the Young Men at church, working, spending time with us, and continues to pursue what our future plans are for when he's done with the Navy - which we're pretty sure we know what we'll be doing, it's just working out the logistics now.

Bethany has been diligently skating every week and is getting better every time. Right now she's working through some "open hip" trouble on her jumps (never had this problem before having kids :-)  ) and everything else. Hopefully she'll be able to test in the Spring or just before moving. She also is still teaching dance and working on the Day of Service project for our congregation.

Lily is such a powerhouse and is always on the go. However, she was just recently diagnosed with Mono . . . not a severe case, but enough that we've pulled her out of gymnastics for now. She's slowly getting better. Lily is still attending preschool and doing dance. There will be a dance recital in May, which she's very excited about (especially the costume). Overall, Lily is still our 4 year old going on 30 . . . very smart for her age, very caring, and adores her little sister.

Maggie is getting so big!! She's 20 lbs now and getting ready to crawl at any moment. She babbles and pulls up on things. Maggie enjoys all her solid foods and rolling around to get to where she wants to be (she can even sit herself up). I was going to post some videos, but blogger kept stalling so I'll just describe them . . . one is of her banging plastic rings together like cymbals and the other is of her on the tile in our kitchen pushing herself backwards. She is definitely a smart one too!

Some great news too . . . We're going to Disney World soon!! Yay!! So that will probably be what the next post will be about, so stay tuned!!

Now . . . for the pictures:

Lily just got some clothes from her Aunt Cara and she really enjoyed the Blue costume.

Here is Maggie drinking out of a sippy cup and eating banana chunks.

We recently went to Mepkin Abbey and had a family picnic there. It was such a beautiful and peaceful day for us. We love family outings!

(The sign says "Monastic Area - No Further Please")

This is what happens when the people who label your breaker box, label the water heater breaker incorrect . . . then you drain your water heater thinking it's heating elements are turned off, but they aren't and then they crack and probably could have exploded. Yeah . . . we had to replace that, but now we have warm water and great water pressure :-) Scott is really becoming quite the handy man.

Our two princesses (yes, Maggie's crown is a baby toy . . . but it still works). Love them!!

I've started making our own bread . . . yeah, it's going pretty well. Below was the first product. I make the dough in the bread machine and then bake it in the oven (I can't believe I didn't do that before).

Smiley Maggie . . . she loves posing for the camera.

This is what happens when I leave Maggie and Lily alone together for a few minutes . . . I come back and Lily has dressed Maggie up. It's a good thing Maggie really loves her big sister :-)

They really do like each other. Here they are playing in a handmade castle from the leftover box that Maggie's new convertible car seat came in.

Maggie and daddy . . .If you look closely, you can see that Maggie is getting daddy's dimples :-)

And finally, Lily with a towel on her head. This was one of the moments where she just wanted me to take her picture too. Lily is just too funny!

The End. Until next time . . . Disney World!!!
