We bought this package that is good for the whole month of January called "be a tourist in your own town" and so we get to go see a lot of cool stuff in Charleston right now. Recently, we went to the H.L. Hunley - a submarine that sunk near Charleston during the Civil War - and Patriot's Point that has a destroyer, Coast Guard cutter, submarine, and the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier. So here are the wonderful pictures from that trip:
(Here are we driving one of the submarines - well, not really, but we did get to play with the hand crank that was used to move the sub in the water during the civil war)

(Beside this exhibit was face reconstructions of the sailors of the H.L. Hunley - when the sub sank they all went down with it, so their remains were found with the sub)

(Another kind of sub from the civil war era)

(Here we are on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown - Lily looking cute as always)

(My very own Top Gun in front of his jet!)

(This picture was the product of me trying to work the landscape selection on our camera, it's the Ravenel Bridge - can you see what's wrong with this picture?)

Other family news is that we finally unpacked the last box and can actually park a car in the garage if we wanted to! Also, I was finally successful in making curtains for Lily's room and finding her a dresser on craigslist. Further news, is that we bought our own lawn mower and Scott started teaching his first class at work. We have also great callings at church. I'm a nursery leader and enjoy teaching children - I'm also on the Enrichment board. Scott is a ward clerk over financials and is learning the ropes of another side of church administration. So, we're diligently moving forward and establishing ourselves here in Charleston, SC for the next 4 years.

Hooray, I finally found your blog. Lilly is so cute. Too bad she and Sophie couldn't play together. Looks like you guys are doing well and having fun touring.
